Why I Became a Beachbody Coach

I’ve been a fan of Beachbody products since 2005 when I ordered Slim in 6 on the phone after watching an infomercial. This was the first exercise program I had ever done, and it was a great program to start a fitness journey with, as it’s quite doable for most people.

I was in college at the time, and I still remember the compliments I started receiving after I had started losing weight, which had also given me the energy and ambition to start wearing clothes other than pajamas and doing my hair and makeup.

After that I started incorporating running and biking and tried out various gyms for several years.

I still love running more than anything, but it’s not the most efficient form of exercise. Also, gyms are not for me, especially since I’ve had kids. Just finding the time to travel to and from the gym was not realistic for me; neither was the price.

When my youngest was still a baby I borrowed the Insanity DVD set from a friend and Shaun T became my favorite trainer of all time. Then I discovered Beachbody on Demand, which gives you access to all the Beachbody exercise programs ever made and their materials.

I have been using Beachbody on Demand (BOD) for nearly as long as it’s been out, and I couldn’t love it more.

I love change. I hate buying a workout program and following that same program and same workout style and same trainer for weeks. The only thing I love so much that I could do every day if my body and the weather permitted is running. Even then, I pick different trails every time.  But my body doesn’t let me do that, and all athletes need to cross-train.

I do Insanity workouts the most, but I always switch it up when working out. Sometimes I’m too tired for a high intensity workout and I’ll do a lifting workout like Body Beast. Sometimes I want something more flowing and rejuvenating and I’ll do PiYo. Sometimes I want to work on my self-defense skills and retrain my muscle memory since quitting Taekwondo and I do a Core de Force workout.

I get to choose what kind of trainer personality I want at the very minute I’m ready to work out, because it changes for me. But regardless of which workout I choose, I always have a trainer there with me, which is something I need in order to actually push out a hard workout. If I try to do a certain workout at home on my own, I just don’t push myself hard enough for whatever reason.

Because of these reasons and more, I always recommended BOD to my friends. That’s what we do when we love something. Eventually I decided that if I was going to be recommending a company so much I should be working with them, so I became a a coach.

At the same time, I purchased a nutrition program called 2B Mindset and shakeology. Both are awesome products. Honestly, I never thought I would buy shakeology, because it costs quite a bit more than many other protein shakes, but once I tried it, I found it to be worth it — in taste, quality of nutrition, and how it leaves me feeling satisfied and full for a long time.

I know being a coach and including all these links in this article makes it feel less sincere, but I promise I am not biased. If I think something besides Beachbody would be best for someone, I’ll recommend that. Beachbody isn’t perfect for everyone, but I do think it’s pretty awesome.

If you ever have any questions about their products, let me know. If I don’t know the answer I’ll find out for you. If you ‘d like to try a sample of Shakeology, I got you. I’m here to help! Contact me any time!
